Trust me when I say that Greece is a special place! Not only does it have some incredibly major metropolises like Athens, but it also has a cargo of grand places dotted each across the country.
That being said, for me, it’s the stunning Greek islets that are completely beautiful and ca n’t be missed on any trip to Greece. This is especially true when it comes to all the stylish effects to do in Zakynthos – an Ionian Greek Island that’s just stunning to visit.
We ’ve spent quite a bit of time in Zakynthos and it really lives up to the hype; especially its beautiful bank! In fact, I ’d go as far as saying it’s one of my favourite plages in all of Greece.

So, to help you along your jocular way to explore Zakynthos, I wanted to partake some of our favourite spots that you really should n’t miss; especially if you ’re planning to drive or boat around the islet.

1.) Explore the Navagio Beach( Shipwreck Cove)
Yup, it nearly looks fantastic ! Navagio Beach is one spot in Zakynthos that’s known each across the Mediterranean. It’s incredibly beautiful, dramatic and short joyful.
Now, to get then, you ’ll need to either join a participated boat( or hire your own). Prices vary significantly and can be anything from around€ 30 euro for a large participated boat and a short stint, to around€ 750 for a boat that we rented with a commander to drive us around for the whole day.
That being said, you can clearly spend a significant quantum more if you ’re fancying a big boat.
utmost tenures suggest heading to Navagio Beach in the morning, but if you really want to see important smaller crowds also head then an hour or two before evening. It’s significantly quieter but you might not get the same beautiful blues that you see when the sun is high in the sky. It’s all a matter of preference and what’s important to you most.
2.) Navagio Beach View
still, head to the very top of the precipice and stop for a gorgeous evening view across the Ionian Sea, If a boat trip does n’t sound like your thing. It’s truly inconceivable and, after seeing Navagio Beach from over( at Navagio Beach View) and below, this is my veritably favourite spot.

Bespeak a table around evening and watch the most amazing evening; all whilst eating through the original catch of the day that’s too good to miss.
4.) Keri Caves( and a wider boat stint)
There are so numerous inconceivable places to visit on the islet that you ’ll be spoilt for choice. In fact, it can be hard to constrict down just a many of the stylish effects to do in Zakynthos on one trip.
So, like I said when visiting spots like Navagio Beach, it’s stylish to get yourself a boat. This way, you can spend a whole day( or longer) stopping off at the inapproachable bays and strands that can only be reached by ocean.
One similar spot is the Keri Caves which is filled with inconceivable and completely emotional grottoes that gauge the western bank.
Whilst on a boat stint, you ’ll get to head between the bends, explore the little kudos and take a snorkel in the demitasse-clear waters.
5.) Nobelos
Nobelos is a family- run riverside Lodge, bio eatery and private creek
is a great little spot to spend a lazy autumn( or check- in and stay the night).
We ’ve spent a many afterlife then and the food is inconceivable. Now, you do need to spend over€ 100 euros to use their creek
/ davenports but this is fluently done if two of you go for lunch and get a many drinks.
We ’d surely recommend it and it’s so nice and peaceful.
6.) Anafonitria Monastery
Just a little inland from Navagio Beach, visiting the Anafonitria Monastery is one of the stylish effects to do in Zakynthos if you want to explore further of the islet’s religious history.
innovated in the 15th century, the friary is devoted to the Holy Virgin Mary and is enough emotional to see. Inside the structure, the walls are decorated with frescos.
It ’ll only take around 30- twinkles to completely explore the friary, which, makes it easy as a stop en route across the western bank.
still, check into Olea All Suites, If you ’re looking for a gorgeous place to stay. We spent a many weeks then and loved it then. The syncope- up pools are inconceivable.

Yes, it’s quite a bit more precious than some of the other caffs
in city but it’s well worth it; especially for a treat.
We loved the whole lobster and pasta. So good!
Just off Laganas, Cameo Island is a bitsy little islet that’s attached to the Laganas area of Zakynthos via a small footbridge.
Over the times, the sand bar has been a little gem of a place to visit for a quick drink or chill out on their intimate little bank.
Yes, you’ll have to pay a small figure to enter, though it’s a small figure that’s worth it if you ’re spending some time on the islet.
That being said, if you only plan to spend a many twinkles on Cameo Island you might wan na give it a miss.
9.) Marathonisi Island( Turtle Island)
One of the spots we included with our boat trip, exploring Turtle Island is one of the stylish effects to do in Zakynthos if you want to see the precious nesting spots around the Ionian Sea.
Once then, spend some time on the sand, take some time to chill and look out for the hatching spots that are defended around the islet.
They ’re generally defended by rustic guards that you ’ll spot with ease.
10.) West Coat Boat Tour
For us, it’s the bank that makes the islet so special and is fluently one of the stylish effects to do in Zakynthos.
We reserved with Big Blue Boat Settlements and loved it. We included; Porto Vromi, Kampi- Schiza, Porto Limnionas, Porto Roxa, Korakonisi, Agalas grottoes, Pischines, Myzithres, Keri Caves, the bends and the waters around Keri Beach each in one stint. It was amazing.
Now, what I would say is that if you plan to hire your own boat, make sure to include Navagio Beach as a stop and not a sole destination. You see, Navagio is completely beautiful but it can get unbearably busy in the busy summer months.
Plus, there’s a mound of stunning kudos, bays and grottoes to explore all along the west seacoast of Zakynthos.
latterly, ask your commander( if you ’re in a private boat) to stop off for lunch at Porto Limnionas Tavern. It’s a antique little place where you can snare some of the stylish souvlaki and manual chips on the total of Zakynthos.
11.) Zakynthos Town
Zakynthos Town is the largest city to visit on the islet.
Filled with original shops, beautiful churches and a mound of bars and caffs
, it’s the kind of place that’s well worth visiting for an autumn and early evening bite to eat.
We loved the unfussy, Stathmos, for their succulent Greek food. Their fresh fish is completely succulent.
latterly, be sure to visit the Bochali Venetian Castle that’s just outside the harbourfront area of Zakynthos Town itself.
The castle sits on a altitudinous hill overlooking the ocean and is a enough gorgeous place to learn further about the major Venetians that formerly ruled the islet.
You ’ll get to learn loads about the history and peep behind the walls of the fort itself.
12.) Callinico Winery Museum
Around a 10- 15 nanosecond drive from Zakynthos Town, the Callinico Winery Museum is a great stopping point to make for a little wine tasting and learn further about wine product on the islet.

13.) Myzithres standpoint
Another great standpoint from the west seacoast of the islet is from Myzithres standpoint, where you can see the most dramatic views over the escarpments and across the Ionian Sea.
To get then, you’ll need to situate up near Keri Lighthouse( the view below) and join the dirt road( via bottom or quadrangle bike) to the precipice edge. The views are gorgeous.
Again, like utmost spots of the west seacoast, Myzithres standpoint can be veritably dangerous. This is especially true as there are no walls stopping you from falling off the edge. Be veritably careful.
Not fancying a typical hostel stay? Check into Logothetis Organic Farm, a working ranch that has a selection of rustic c Greek houses on its property. They ’re completely antique and beautiful.
14.) Laganas
still, also Laganas might be the spot for you, If you ’re wanting a little break from the stunning nature and want a enough lively night on the city. It’s got everything from bars, taverns, and clubs that stay open until the atomic hours of the morning.
Yes, it can get enough loud and lairy but if that’s what you ’re looking for you ’ll love it then. Though, if that does n’t sound like your idea of fun, you might want to stay down in the after gloamings.
